| My roof is leaking.
Is it necessary to reroof? |
|
| Depending on the age of the roof, it is
possible to perform a maintenance tune and extend the life of the current
roof. |
|
| My roof is not leaking
but I am concerned that it might leak. |
|
| Alvardo Roofing and Construction offers
free inspection services, and can advise if repairs are even needed.
We can usually advise when to plan on a roof repair in the future. |
|
| My friends tell me about
many different types of roof systems that they have done. What should I
do? |
|
| There are many different roof systems on the
market today. These systems vary dramatically in price and
longevity. Some systems cannot be used on certain homes. Your
roofing contractor can help advise on the best solution. |
|
| Of several estimates
that I have received, one is very low. Should I consider it? |
|
| Estimates can vary dramatically. It is
important to read the estimate carefully to be sure you are comparing
"apples" to "apples". The money you might save now could come back
later in large repairs. |
|
| Some companies offer
very long warranties. How do I compare? |
|
| There are two different types of warranties.
The first is a labor warranty. This is offered by the Roofing contractor
and covers workmanship of the installation. The second is a material
warranty. It only covers the roofing material and does not cover leaks as
a result of poor workmanship. A repair made after the warranty expires,
can be costly. The cost can be more than the money saved on lower bid.
|
|
| I have all of my estimates.
I have reviewed them carefully. Now what? |
|
| After you have reviewed the estimates, now
you must review the roofing contractor. Ask friends, references and
business colleagues. Make sure your contractor is licensed to do
business in New Mexico. |
